the will

Only one amongst billions that made it and to what end?
Is there anything a single person could achieve that would justify his/her edging out so many others for the privilege of being born? The right to be human?
Whose would be the sadder lot: the one who “won” or the ones who remained and ceased to exist before they had begun?
Angels and demons swirl around me and ask me what is my Will. I remain silent, as always. Soon they will leave me alone. And they do. Always.

the truth is you didnt win amongst a million. u won against yourself. even if it was any of the million others, the outcome would still be the same; you.

biologist call it natural selection. And I like to think I was chosen ( was I not? did I just get lucky? I’d beaten 1 million after all). For reasons, I may not understand now. But there are some, good and/or bad.

The picture looks like sperm flooding and you start with a line “Only one amongst billions that made it and to what end?” Not intentional but still a potentially interesting and much more comical implication ( At least when compared with the ‘intended ‘ meaning)
For a sec there, I actually thought it might be interesting.
P.S
How old are you ?

To me it seems like we were lucky from the word “Get Go”
That was the first race we ever won, and we did win more often if we did risk more n get out of comfort zone
